The 2016 Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival poster, created by local artist John Souder, depicts a 1912 Auburn Model 30L. The poster art designates 2016 as the Year of the Closed Auburn. Since the early 1980's, Souder has produced a colorful poster to celebrate Auburn's rich automotive history. The 1912 Auburn Model 30L was an enclosed automobile, unlike most vehicles in 1912 which were open. The Auburn was built for the 1912 Boston Auto Show and features Electric lights front and rear. The actual vehicle is part of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum's collection.
The poster art also displays the stage building located at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum's new Education and Exhibit Plaza. The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival Event is also a Legacy Bicentennial Event, one of many statewide to commemorate Indiana's 200th birthday. The full-color poster is a standard 24" x 36" size and comes rolled in a tube.
